Inside the song:
Our goal going into the making of our song was to find more current rap songs that sample Blues style beats. All three beats we used were hand picked for the way they each meshed modern elements along with elements of Blues, Jazz, and Rock influences. On top of the beats, we wanted our lyrics to reflect knowledge gained from the class thus far. Meshing three different beats together was a challenge, but we pursued this path as we believed it offered the greatest sample of meshing different eras.
